Cognitive learning differs a lot from traditional learning. Traditional learning mainly involves memorizing or repeating the subject or concept for an extended period. Rote repetition is one such method. Cognitive learning, on the other hand, consists of mastering the concept or topic. I had an interesting discussion on effective learning with one of my students recently.
